Let me read my magazine while my slow cooker fixes dinner...

I just found a magazine deal on Amazon. Am I the only one who loves to receive magazines in the mail? It's like Christmas in my mailbox. I know, cheep thrills, but it's true. I've received them as gifts and I gotta tell you, it is the gift that keeps on giving all year long. Thinking I may need to go through the deals here and find some gifts for people...

- Up to 75% Off Cooking Bestsellers

- Home & Garden Magazine Deals

- Parenting & Families

- Children's

- Sports & Leisure Deals - from boxing to knitting

- Business & Investing

- Brides & Weddings

Now time for the food portion of the show....

Red Wine Turkey Thighs

I found this leave-some-wine-for-the-turkey recipe at Gourmet Momma.

INGREDIENTS
2lb-3lb turkey thighs, remove skin and excess fat (you really can use any part of the turkey)
1 cup dry red wine (or 1 cup chicken broth plus 1 Tbsp red-wine vinegar)
1 cup thinly sliced onions
2 tsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp each dried rosemary, sage, thyme and salt
GRAVY: 3 Tbsp flour1/4 cup water

DIRECTIONS
1. Eight to 12 hours before cooking, put all except Gravy ingredients in a 3 1/2-qt or larger slow-cooker. Cover and refrigerate.
2. Cook on high 4 to 5 hours or on low 8 to 10 hours until turkey is tender.
3. Remove turkey thighs to cutting board and cover loosely with foil.
4. Gravy: Set cooker to high and cover. Whisk flour and water until well blended. Whisk into liquid in cooker. Cover and cook, stirring once, 15 minutes or until thickened.
5. To serve: Cut meat in large pieces from both sides of each thigh bone to give you 4 pieces. Arrange on serving plates; spoon on some gravy. Serve remaining gravy from a sauce boat

Head over to Diary of a Stay at Home Mom for more Slow Cooking recipes and to participate in Slow Cooking Thursday!

My favorite magazine WAS Backyard Living. I'm so sad. They said this would be there last issue. Not enough subscribers.
Or my favorite magazine is the one I pick up at the library for .10 I've let almost all my subscriptions go. I guess this is why they are all folding up.

See, now this is why I love coming to your blog. Totally self-indulgent. Relaxing with a magazine and cooking something delicious! I love travel magazines, but reading them just frustrates me because I can't travel as much as I'd like!

My friend has a playstation 3 and another one of my friends games got stuck in the system. How do you get the disk out? It won't eject the disk no matter what and of coarse, it won't let any other disks come in. How do you lift the cover or even get the disk out? Nothing came up on the playstation website so please give me lots of info.

Look for at $100 cheaper consoles, minor but welcome upgrades, and more pressure on Nintendo and Microsoft in the gaming console market wars.

A little off topic, Guys... I have a question. A week ago I played at this site:
Rivalspot.com - Play Ps3 tournaments for cash
They say you can play online Nhl2k game tournaments on any console for cash... had anyone tried that before? Looks like a cool idea...
Are there any other sites where you can play sports games for real moneys? I Googled and found only Bringit.com and Worldgaming.com but it looks these guys don't specialize in sport gamez. Any suggestions?
