~*~GIVEAWAY~*~ YEAR Supply of dropps Laundry Detergent!!

Yes, you read that correctly....this is your chance to win a YEAR supply of dropps laundry detergent! I'm going crazy with excitement over this one and wish I could enter my own contest!

This eco-friendly super concentrated liquid laundry detergent comes in convenient dissolving pacs that take up a teeny tiny amount of space in your laundry room. They are rather kind to your back as well. I can't tell you how much I dread buying detergent just because of the weight of the cumbersom bottles. I usually get the concentrated super sized bottles ... not anymore! I wish I had these when I was in college. Lugging the laundry plus a heavy bottle down four flights of steps was horrible....especially since I usually waited until I had 5 loads to do all at once.

dropps are conveniently packed in a lightweight stand-up pouch and are biodegradable and NPE- and phosphate-free. This is the only liquid laundry detergent that conserves water, plastic and energy. I found the 'dropps difference' very inspiring ...

'Regular' Detergent

  • Plastic Cap: 100% landfill-bound
  • Plastic Bottle: 75% off the bottle is new plastic, a total waste
  • 2X Concentrated: 75% of this 'detergent' is WATER

dropps Detergent

  • Smaller Footprint: one jug = 292 empty pouches!
  • No Waste: perfectly dosed pacs mean NO leftovers!
  • 6X Concentrated: because they have taken all the water out!

You have two types of dropps to choose from: Fresh Scent and Scent + Dye Free. I tried both and couldn't be happier. My baby girl has sensitive skin and the Scent + Dye Free was perfect for her. The Fresh Scent is just that....fresh, light, airy and nothing overpowering at all. Our clothes came out just as fresh and clean as other detergent. I felt like I was skipping a step in the washing process because these were so easy to use. No mess, drips or measuring. Simply plop one packet in small to medium loads and two packets for large loads, pile your laundry on top and then pat yourself on the back for taking a step to go GREEN!

Before I get to the contest, I have to mention that dropps has some GREAT deals going on right now. The standard price for a case (12-20 load packets - 240 loads) is $83.99, but they have a promotion going on for $69.99! You can also purchase 60 wash and 120 wash pouches on sale as well. All three sizes are available with FREE SHIPPING during this promotion! Want to try it first? You can purchase 2-load sample packs as well as travel packs with FREE SHIPPING, too! Even better, try them for FREE after rebate. You can also purchase dropps on Amazon.

The fine people at dropps are offering one lucky reader of Pennies In My Pocket a year supply of this fabulous laundry detergent: Twelve 20-Load dropps - 240 wash loads ...

I am a minimalist (or at least trying to move towards that goal), so I like that you can pack a lot of cleaning power into such a small package. I am quite certain that any money that I would save would quickly be consumed by just the cost of increase in pricing of all of the other items we use such as food and gas. Every little bit of savings helps though.

I am always looking for a good "green" detergent, one that doesn't pollute the water. With the $ saved from winning, I can buy more cloth diapers for the new babe (and helping a bit more with the environment).

I will post on my blog: http://cheapgreenmamma.blogspot.com

It would be nice to be able to trust the kids not to put a WHOLE cup of concentrated detergant in the washer!!

I would spend the money on gas. I am not sure how much longer we will be able to play baseball with gas prices as high as they are! :(

OF couse basball means mud and grass stains, so more laundry! LOL But at least they could wash their own with out me fearing they will turn into a soap bubble when they land in a mud puddle!

I like that it's dispensed in single "doses." When the boys are doing laundry, they seem to have an attitude that if a cup of detergent is good, three cups is three times as good. The little detergent sachets will keep them from wasting so much detergent, I hope.

Thanks so much for the giveaway! My email address is linked through my blog, so I hope that's ok! I love that these are so easy to use! If I won, I would go out to dinner w/ my hubby more often with the money I saved. Thanks again! Take care!

I like that it is not messy so my daughter can help me put in detergent without my having to clean up the spill when she is done! She is such a sweet helper.

As for what I would do with the money I save over the year well, I would hire a house cleaning crew to come in and do all of my house work for me at least one time! Oh what a treat that would be.

Pre-measured which is fantastic as other members of my family use too much detergent for our front loader! Environmentally friendly is great as well, I've been slowly making the switch from regular cleaners to environmentally friendly cleaners as we run out.

What would I do with the extra money? Well, I would use it to help continue my ability to work from home and an occasional lunch out at my favorite cafe. Every little bit helps.

I am excited about the compact size. Since my son will be off to college here soon, this would be perfect for him to take this fall.

Plus I have to respect the company for making sure it is eco-friendly, that is extremely important to me and my kids, grandkids and future generations.

My son is going to be the reciepiant of all the savings since you know how "needy" they are for money while away. Since he is on Scholarship, and will be very busy, he can't work. So, who is he gonna call? So, Me and Papa are going to need to save every penny we can.

Oh no- please delete my above comment! I didn't pay enough attention to the rules to answer properly (I was toooo excited!!).

Correct answer:

I like drops because I'd like to switch to a greener detergent and have heard a lot about these drops! I admit, we use tide, and going away from the large plastic jug would be great.

With all the extra $$ I'd save on detergent, I'd buy a couple of the cute new summer bags at nordstroms. I'm usually very cheap with purses, but this is a good excuse to splurge (just a little). Besides, they'd go great with my clothes washed with drops!

Thanks!
