Halloween Deals

So, I'm not a huge Halloween person. Never really have been. I guess I need to get on the ball and get a costume before the very last minute. Not used to doing that since the baby is our first child. Last year she was Pooh's Hunny Pot (isn't she beyond cute?) Of course, we just dressed her up and took her to Grandma & Grandpa's.

Trick or Treat, Grandpa!

I haven't a clue what I'll get for her this year. Here are some sales on costumes. Although, most likely, I will end up picking something up at the last minute.

What are your little ones going to be this year?

tranformers here -- that's all my boy wants to be...and by that I mean, he really wants to 'be' a transformer.

Melody! Your little HUNNY POT is beautiful what a cute costume. I remember we only put on a little paint, grabbed a brown paper grocery sack and we were on our way! Deb

She's a cute little "Hunny"! I don't have to worry about Halloween anymore, but I remember thinking about that every year!

Your little hunny pot is ADORABLE! How cute is that? Her smile is just precious.

I have no clue what my kids are going to be this year. I'll be a last minute mom on that, for sure! lol

I have not a clue what my kiddos will be this year. Thanks for all the great links, might give me some inspiration. We enjoyed making homemade costumes last year...what a hit they were, so we might try that again.

BTW your little darling is a cutie! I love little ones and miss having them around the house. *sniff*

Oh, that Honey Pot is the cutest thing ever!

This will be the boy's third Halloween. (The first one didn't really count because he was only a month old, and I didn't see the point in a costume for him then.) I don't know what he'll be!

Melody, your comment was Heaven-sent and brought tears to my eyes, thinking of the power of the Lord to give us comfort, even through the world of the blogosphere.

I so appreciate your kindness. Stop by again sometime when I'm having a better day :)

Thank you.

(BTW, love your blog. Mind if I add you to my blogroll?)

Yes, you read that right, lol This would be year three I believe, LOL

As far as halloween goes, my kids are like lane boys mom's and about to be too grown up. Hoping I can bribe them with a bag of candy and take them to the movies! But I am lazy like that.

That is the cutest honey pot I have ever seen!

We usually get the costumes at Gymboree when they are clearanced in Nov. THey make the best costumes.....Liv usually ends up keeping them in the dress up armoire in her room ALL YEAR LONG. Granted most are tutus and princess, but she also has a cute lady bug one.

What a cute blog you have! Thanks for stopping by, glad you were able to relax a bit! Great tips, btw. I don't know what we're going to do this year for our daughter. I'm not really into Halloween either, but she was the cutest teddy bear last year. I'm sure we'll do something though... probably go to my parents, LOL. Old Navy has some cute costumes and not too expensive either. Have a great night!!

Saw you over on MamaGeek's site. Thought I'd stop by and check out your blog.

My 5-year-old son wants to be "Dark" Vader. Of course, he wants the adult costume, the one with the voice box and bead dressing and all. It is like $100. I'll have to check out your recommendations and see if I can find something cheaper. He was really disappointed when he learned the kid's costume didn't come with all the gear. Such discrimination! ;)

I have never liked Halloween and this year I HAVE TO dress up for a fundraiser... UGH!
For my kids... I try to save a few items from past Halloweens to mix and match something unique... I hate to say it... but I will be happy when we are passed that trick o treating stage... I shouldn't tell you that...you're just getting started... so ENJOY!
I do have to tell you... one of my FAVORITE photos of my chidren EVER: one child is Buzz Lightyear and the other is a Dalmatian... will post it on Halloween!

Thanks for the great links, my daugher keeps changing her mind about what she wants to be (she's 10). When she was younger, I would hit all the costume clearance sales right after Halloween and found lots of cheap dress-up clothes. She had such a huge collection that last year I had a garage sale and we set up a "Princess Shoppe" and let each little girl visitor pick out her own free costume while their mommies shopped. We saw so many smiles that day!

oh Melody - she is so adorable!! I dressed my baby in a baby chicken costume that I made last year - it was so cute and she HATED it and was so miserable and wouldn't stop crying - I had to take it off er. I don't know what I am doing this year. I want to make costumes for the girls again. But - with the bargains you posted, I may have to forego my sewing machine!
I will be checkin out those sites!

Wow, you are the comment queen! Look at all your comments! ;) We still haven't decided what we are going to put the kids in yet. My son said he wants to be a Power Ranger, yet he has never watched the show in his life ;) I have a devil costume that will fit my daughter perfectly though :)

Every year I tell my self (sternly) that next Halloween I am not going to wait until the last minut to get costumes, but guess what, I ALWAYS wait, I don;t know why, I think I might have a secret problem with spending sooo much money on something they wear once, maybe a few times to play in around the house, but pretty much once, oh well, maybe this year is my year.
