QUESTION OF THE DAY
What is your advice on being sick and having a sick baby at the same time?

Advice? Don't plan anything and go with the flow! It sucks to be sick yourself, as the mom, but to have your kids sick at the same time makes it 10 times worse. So sorry!

Aww....I hope you are feeling better soon!

My advice, lots of DayQuil for you, tylenol and motrin (switch off and on, every two hours) for the baby....and some great tv. Sit and cuddle.

My advice: play dead.

Kidding. Sorta. Not.

Girl, feel better and rest up. Those are orders!

Being sick when you have a baby is the pits. Being sick and baby being sick just kills. Recruit husband as much as possible. My sympathies.

I hope you feel better! Being sick is miserable. I guess you just try to roll with it.

Oooh, so sorry you're sick. I say put on some kid shows, lay on the couch and not worry about the state of the house. When hubby comes home, go to bed and let him handle the rest!

OK, you ARE the bargain hunting QUEEN! You're sick, the baby is sick and you still find time to post some awesome deals! You're my hero!

Advice? I just say take it super easy. Sleep whenever you can and park the TV on cartoons for the little one...anything to keep her calm. Pump both of you full of fluids, too.

Hope you're both better soon!

So sorry you & your baby are sick! My advice would be to have your husband stop after work and bring home take-out. :)

I was waiting for the new Restaurant.com code! THANKS!

Hope you and the baby feel better soon. I don't really have any advice...I've never been in that situation. Get lots of rest when you can.

Oh no, girl. I'm so sorry it's made its way to your home and the baby, too! That just stinks! I normally call on my parents for help, but when they just can't (like the time we ALL got the stomach virus at the same time), we just do the best we can...even if we lay on the couch all day except for getting a quick meal together. Feel better soon.

I'm sorry--I'm probably the one who made you sick :) It must spread through blog posts! The closest thing I have to a baby is my husband (and I just ignore him when he's sick)so I'm useless in answering your question! Feel better!

oh - sorry dear sweet girl - no adivce - suffer in silence!!
I've got two little girls onthe verge of serious colds, they are coming- I hear the sniffles and coughs starting - then I will be sick shortly after! NEVER fails!! (since they sleep and breathe all over me - quite inevidentable).
Try some drugs - let me know what works - b/c everything I try - doesn't work!

Oh girlfriend. I so. feel. your. pain. We're on the mend here but it's rough. You will pull through though. My saving grace was DayQuil, Vit. C and lots and lots of tissue - for tears and noses. Make sure you get the tissue with lotion! Also, sometimes the babies just wanted to lay down in their crib with a toy and hang out. They didn't feel like being held or playing on the floor. This helped when they were cranky and I couldn't figure out how to make them better.

I hope you feel better soon! I'm thinking good thoughts for you!

I have no advice for you at all. AT one point, my husband and I both caught the stomach flu (last Feb.) and we recruited my in-laws to take our son for the two days. It was awful! The fact that your little one is sick too makes it that much harder...as you know. I have no advice except to drink lots and lots of fluids and sleep when your little one is sleeping--again, not new information I'm guessing! I always like to eat bread dipped into olive oil that has been sitting with a couple of cloves of garlic in it for 20 minutes or so...and I have a glass of red wine...(not on top of cold medicine). My home remedy works sometimes, and makes me wreak of garlic...but it tastes good!

I have something for you :) Come see!

♥ I had all 4 kids and my self sick with fevers at the same time and I barely remember how we got through it. The twins were 2 and Livvy was 1... We did a lot of cuddling and sleeping. :)

My advice - stay in the bed as much as possible. Together. Get husband to pamper you!

If all else fails - sleep!

Ugh. Sorry you two are sick. It stinks when you don't get a sic day...Evie and I are doing the same thing. My best advice? When she naps, you nap. Get better soon!

Popsicles, try popsicles! It's our families sick food. :)
