~*~GIVEAWAY~*~ YEAR Supply of dropps Laundry Detergent!!

Yes, you read that correctly....this is your chance to win a YEAR supply of dropps laundry detergent! I'm going crazy with excitement over this one and wish I could enter my own contest!

This eco-friendly super concentrated liquid laundry detergent comes in convenient dissolving pacs that take up a teeny tiny amount of space in your laundry room. They are rather kind to your back as well. I can't tell you how much I dread buying detergent just because of the weight of the cumbersom bottles. I usually get the concentrated super sized bottles ... not anymore! I wish I had these when I was in college. Lugging the laundry plus a heavy bottle down four flights of steps was horrible....especially since I usually waited until I had 5 loads to do all at once.

dropps are conveniently packed in a lightweight stand-up pouch and are biodegradable and NPE- and phosphate-free. This is the only liquid laundry detergent that conserves water, plastic and energy. I found the 'dropps difference' very inspiring ...

'Regular' Detergent

  • Plastic Cap: 100% landfill-bound
  • Plastic Bottle: 75% off the bottle is new plastic, a total waste
  • 2X Concentrated: 75% of this 'detergent' is WATER

dropps Detergent

  • Smaller Footprint: one jug = 292 empty pouches!
  • No Waste: perfectly dosed pacs mean NO leftovers!
  • 6X Concentrated: because they have taken all the water out!

You have two types of dropps to choose from: Fresh Scent and Scent + Dye Free. I tried both and couldn't be happier. My baby girl has sensitive skin and the Scent + Dye Free was perfect for her. The Fresh Scent is just that....fresh, light, airy and nothing overpowering at all. Our clothes came out just as fresh and clean as other detergent. I felt like I was skipping a step in the washing process because these were so easy to use. No mess, drips or measuring. Simply plop one packet in small to medium loads and two packets for large loads, pile your laundry on top and then pat yourself on the back for taking a step to go GREEN!

Before I get to the contest, I have to mention that dropps has some GREAT deals going on right now. The standard price for a case (12-20 load packets - 240 loads) is $83.99, but they have a promotion going on for $69.99! You can also purchase 60 wash and 120 wash pouches on sale as well. All three sizes are available with FREE SHIPPING during this promotion! Want to try it first? You can purchase 2-load sample packs as well as travel packs with FREE SHIPPING, too! Even better, try them for FREE after rebate. You can also purchase dropps on Amazon.

The fine people at dropps are offering one lucky reader of Pennies In My Pocket a year supply of this fabulous laundry detergent: Twelve 20-Load dropps - 240 wash loads ...

I love how much plastic is saved by using Dropps, and how convenient they are to just drop one in the washer. I'd like to spend the money I'll save on detergent for a cruise in the Caribbean -- but most likely I'll use it to buy diapers.

I love that there's no wasted detergent... no trying to get the last drips out of the bottle or shake the end of the powder out of the box...
I'd most likely spend the extra money on some new clothes to wash with all that free detergent!!

I love that it is better for the enviroment. I would use the money to buy a new dishwasher...since ours is broken. :(

I love the fact that it's not messy. Just drop it in. Regular detergent gets EVERYWHERE in my laundry room. ick.

With the extra money, I'd probably buy more clothes. Or spiff up my blog. I know, that's really sad.

And, you know I will totally link to the contest. I have the link to your site permanently tattooed on my page already!

I love that Dropps is not only easy to use, but there is not large wasted bottles to recycle or try to rinse out the last drop left!! And with the money I think I will be buying groceries and diapers but I would like to think my husband would take me out for dinner!! Thanks!

I love EVERYTHING on the 'Green + Friendly' link on the dropps site. I have an HE washer and it sounds like these would be perfect for me.

I would save the money that I would have spent on detergent if I win this contest. I'd put it toward my kids' college fund.

I'll come back on 4/1 to see if I won.

* What I'll do with the money I save: I'll save it, of course. It will go right in our bank account...I love having extra "pennies in my pocket" for expenses that arise. [Oh, and I *might* buy an iPod nano for my runs]. :)

what i like about dropps:

i like that dropps REALLY seems to care about the environment. i tend to scrimp when i use detergent, never using the full portion bc i feel like i'm just pouring chemicals into the planet. dropps is biodegradable, phosphate-free, no chlorine...it's GREAT! plus, not huge jug to recycle!! the tabs dissolve, so all you're left with is the bag. even if i dont win, i buying these. i switched to dish detergent in this format, and i love it. ohhhh, will dropps be coming out with planet friendly dish detergent too? that'd be great!

what i'll do with the money i save: buy my boyfriend a camelback water bottle (like mine, but not pink) so he can stop using so many plastic water bottles!

I love how eco-friendly Dropps are. It would be so nice not to have big bulky bottles of detergent taking up space in my laundry cabinet and in our landfills. I'm guessing, with a baby due any minute, I'll be spending my savings on diapers! Thanks for the great opportunity, Alana. I'm off to post your giveaway on my blog now. Take care.

mattie said...

I LOVE the fact that it's contained in a little packet...dh can never seem to do the laundry without spilling detergent down the front of the washer (I know I shouldn't complain because he actually does do a load here and there, but it still makes a little work for me to clean up the tile and washer where he managed to drip).

The extra money would just stay in the checking account...heaven knows something always pops up.

I'm using Dropps right now! I love how easy they are for my children to use. I don't have to worry about how much detergent they measured when they put a load of wash in. If I won I'd use the extra money for more homeschool supplies - or maybe put it towards a greenhouse for our garden. I really need this! With 7 children, a husband, and our farming, ranching lifestyle we go through a lot of laundry!

I really like the idea of not having the big jugs to dispose of--have already switched dishwasher detergent to the packets because of that. Any money saved would go for whatever I needed it for that month!

What I like about Dropps is that there isn't a huge, heavy bottle or box of detergent to contend with while doing laundry. You pop in a Dropp or two and walk away.

The money I would save on laundry detergent would be put towards our sons' college fund.

I know I always add too much detergent in my loads, I thought I had it right and then they come out with concentrate and super concentrate. I love the fact that Drops takes the guessing away. Great prize, I would use the money I save on a spa pamper of some kind, maicure, pedicure or facial.

It's true, these are perfect for college kids and also for renters with shared laundry rooms! With the extra money I would buy a much needed new cell phone.

I have been seeing Dropps around the blogs, in a couple of giveaways. Keep hoping I'll win to try it out. I love how eco friendly and unwasteful (? is that a word? LOL) they are.
We have a family of 6, so we do a lot of laundry!!
With 4 princesses, there is never a day that goes by that someone doesn't need something. So the money we save will be put to good use...
for groceries, toilet paper, shampoo, school field trip, etc.

THANKS for a great giveaway!

I love that you get all your money's worth (instead of leaving all the leftover liquid) AND that they are easy to manage. I have arthritis, so picking up those big super-sized containers is a challenge.

I love the fact that their is much less packaging. I always buy Dynamo on sale, and have the huge cartons to throw away. I wish there was a different use for them. The eco-friendly packs are an awesome way to reduce waste, and help the environment out even moreby using eco friendly soap.
It would be great to recieve these, because we use a laundrymat and have to spend the money to use the machines, as well as lug the soap and baskets there.
