Slow Cooking Thursday - Sept. 18th

If you are needing a SUPER easy and very delicious din din, then here ya go! I still can't get over how great these chops are and how little effort it takes. Save it for a day when you're going to up to your eyeballs with kid activities, chores, errands and whatever else keeps ya busy....

Maple Jack Pork Chops

1 large sweet onion, peeled and sliced
4 thick-cut boneless pork loin chops, rinsed and patted dry
salt and pepper
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
1/4 cup Jack Daniels Whiskey (or whatever is cheapest)
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1. Place onions in bottom of 4-5 qt slow cooker.
2. Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
3. In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, whiskey and Dijon mustard.
4. Dip each pork chop into the syrup mixture and place in slow cooker on top of the onions.
5. Pour remaining syrup mixture over the pork chops.
6. Cover and cook on LOW setting for 4-5 hours.

Serves 4, but you could always throw in some more chops for larger dinners.

Splash some of the leftover JD in a glass of 7up and you have yourself a little cocktail before dinner, too.

I am FOR SURE making this one! Sounds delicious!! Thanks!

Q of the D - My favorite small kitchen appliance is my hand mixer. I love to bake. I think the KitchenAid mixer would be a great addition to my house though! Love the red one!!

My mini food processor is my absolute fav appliance!! Wait - is that an appliance?

Cooking as I type in my crock pot is Sweet stew - I didn't use the kitchen bouquet b/c I have no idea what that stuff is. Can't wait!!

♥ I love the kitchen aid! It's my all time favorite!!! :)

It has to be my cutting boards and knives....I know, I know...not technically "kitchen appliances" but they are what I like to splurge on.

Next would definitely be my Kitchen Aid 600!

Oh, definitely my Kitchen Aid mixer, although I don't use it nearly enough (I hate cleaning it). But this time of year through the holidays, I use the heck out of it. Pumpkin bread, banana bread, cookies...yum!

Thanks for the award. I'll be posting it soon.

This sounds AMAZING. We just got rid of our crockpot because the heating element was broken. I need to get a new one fast!

I am always looking for new ideas for pork chops. I almost never buy them because I can't think of anything creative to do with them. I'll keep this in mind.

YUM that looks so good. My favorite small appliance would have to be my little chopper, makes things so much easier.

Me too...I would love to own a KitchenAid mixer in any color...one day,I hope.

My most favorite would be my phone! Hehe, just kidding! I would have to say my trusty old crock pot...love it! I came by this morning and grabbed the pork chop recipe to take along with me to the store. Yum!

Again, great stuff!

I made the sweet stew today - delicous!! I'm not good with beeg or roats - I can grill a steak better than most - but give me a pot roast - and it'll suck every time. Now this recipe - dear - my husband ate it up! Nothing left - that does not happen when use beef and a crock pot!!

I came over here from Judy's blog and am so glad I did. That pork chop recipe sounds delicious!

I think one of my very favorite kitchen gadgets that I just love is my chopper I got from Pampered Chef. It's great!
