Is it Tuesday?

Two words ... Stomach Bug. That's what I've got and I think the baby may be coming down with it now. Ugghhh So, no Menu Plan Monday for me. It's pretty much 'scrounge up what we can in the fridge and put together whatever is in the freezer' this week. A can of chicken soup will do for me.

But, of course I have to stop by with some deals. Also, remember that TODAY is the last day to enter my GIVEAWAY. If you haven't already, go enter now. :-) I'll post the randomly selected winner tomorrow.

Thank you to those who either participated or commented on my Self-Esteem Saturday or Sunday post. That was a pretty 'deep' topic. If you have any ideas for topics, let me know! :-)

Hey, hope you feel better :)

The meal would be any healthy restaurant, but LOL I cook even when I don't feel like it (have some spoiled family here), only when I don't feel well I'm off the duty, than I'm like you, just give me soup and I'm good :)

Awww...hope you feel better. We are under the weather here too.

I always make sandwiches on the nights I don't feel like cooking. My kids are old enough now (except Grissom) I just put everything out and they make it themselves. So nice! A piece of fruit and they're good.

I also LOVE soup!

Bless you and your baby! Hope you feel much better soon, it's so hard to see your little baby's get sick too.

I definitely make PB&J or grilled cheese when I don't feel like cooking, well, I guess grilled cheese is technically cooking... but... any easy sandwhich really, like PB&Banana, yum! Chicken Noodle from a can is great on days that I don't feel well. :)

I just love restaurant.com and their deals!

Melody......I hope you are feeling better quickly. Stomach bugs are the worst.

My go to meal, vegetarian refried bean burritos! The are actually a weekly staple.

Hope you are feeling back to normal soon! If I need a quick meal, I often pick up a rotisserie chicken, Bob Evans ready to heat mashed potatoes and some veggies. I throw the chicken in the crock pot to stay warm while I cook the veggies and microwave the potatoes. It makes a really nice meal.

we call it "Fend for Yourself", everyone can have whatever, in moderatoin, as long as they can fix it themselves... I hope that you all feel better, I know that there is nothing worse than being sick yourself and then having to take care of sick kids... hang in there!

Hope the bug flies your coop soon.

Out go to meal is actually being prepared today..."Breakfast for Dinner".

Soup. I love soup!

I'm right there with you, but mine's a bad cold with a fever and everything. Yuck.

So our dinner tonight was an easy one: spaghetti and garlic bread. Although I did make meatballs, 'cause I'm a glutton for punishment...

Hope we feel better soon!

I was wondering where you were hiding. I forgot to check the water closet.

Hugs. Hugs!

My favorite thing when under the weather is buttered toast. Popcorn is a close second, but maybe not such a great option for a stomach bug. That's more cold food. Stick with the toast.

Feel better!!!! Here's to hoping the Babes doesn't pick it up as well.

Cereal :)

Just had some flax flakes mixed with a few of those blueberry muffin frosted mini-wheats (picked'm up on sale) thrown in for flavor.

Hit the spot.

I'm just getting over a 24hr something or other. Hope you both feel better soon!

I hate the FLU! I'm just praying we don't get it anytime soon! Thanks for the Amazon update and the Restaurant sale! You're the best (even when you are sick no less!)

My favorite "to go" meal when I don't feel like cooking is Fazoli's pasta dish. I don't know if you have them where you are but it's not too bad!

Girl - 'tis the season, huh? You're probably the third blog I've read today who has the bug. Ugh. Don't pass it to us, please! I hope you feel better soon.

Go to meal - always spaghetti. My husband laughs every time it's on his plate. He says "didn't go grocery shopping today, did you?"

Mer said...

Oh NO! I'm so sorry about the stomach bug! That is just the worst! Here's hoping it passes quickly and the little one doesn't get it. :(

Besides takeout? Cook ground beef or turkey add a box of rice-a-roni, cover, cook for 20 minutes. Done!

Ugh Melody I'm so sorry! Just thinking about having the stomach bug makes me feel nauseous. Hope you get feeling better soon, and I really hope the babes doesn't get it - no fun!

My husband is a really good cook, so when I don't feel like cooking, he's my go-to. He never follows a recipe, doesn't have to menu plan, just rustles through the fridge and cupboards, and voila, deliciousness is served!

When I don't feel like cooking and he's not around, I usually head to the nearest fast food mexi joint. mmmmm....

Melodie said...

This probably won't make your stomach feel any better, but my "go to" meal for when I don't feel like cooking is hotdogs. We had them for dinner tonight, actually.

When I don't feel like cooking, we do breakfast for dinner. Whether it's pancakes, french toast, or eggs, they are all simple and easy to whip up! :D Thanks again for all the sweet deals!

I would usually marinate and bake chicken. It's quick for me. And I hope you're feeling better!

SarahJarnagin said...

My go-to meal usually is pizza - whether frozen or homemade. My other choices would probably be breakfast things like pancakes, waffles, eggs since they don't involve thawing meat.

Oh no! Are you and your baby feeling better today?
