How Melody Got Her Blog Groove Back...

Do you ever get in a blog funk?

I had to take a break with the holidays or else I would have been in the doghouse with the hubby. He took almost two weeks off for the first time since our 20 month old was born. Then, we get the stomach bug for a week thus leaving me blogless a little longer. After all that, I am trying to get my groove back. Right now, all I can think to write about is how my tongue is totally raw from my sudden daily craving for Skittles (eat enough and I'm convinced your mouth will permanently turn red), that one of my new years resolutions (OK, my only one) is to find a place to take acting classes just because I think it would be fun, and how I have to get the bug man out here ASAP because of the ants in my kitchen. I've never ever had ants before. I'm bugged. haha I know, that was lame.

I feel boring oh so boring. I feel boring, like snoring, I'm lame! (sung to "I feel pretty" tune, of course.)

I felt so happy seeing some of my 'regulars' saying hi in the comments yesterday. Is it weird that that made me giddy and get back into the groove? lol Well, it did and for that reason I will blog on...

My husband wishes I was one of them but I am NONE OF THEM!

I think frugal is positive but "cheap" is negative and ugly!

Welcome back. :)

Frugal. Definitely. Not cheap...I buy things all the time, just not at full price. I don't pay full price for anything.

Glad to see you back!

I'd have to say I can be frugal, definitely not cheap. I spend a bit too much most times.

♥ When we first moved in there were tons of crickets and rolly polly bugs getting into the house. I'm still not sure how they were getting in but once the COLD weather got here I haven't seen any... I just hope they stay away!

The difference between frugal and cheap to me is...

You're frugal when you have to be and prefer not too...

Cheap is when you're just cheap... Like I think I'd be cheap even if I could afford not to be! :)

Welcome back from a well deserved break! I for one love a good bargain and although a got a pretty shiney Nikon camera before Christmas, that power shot is looking pretty nifty:) It's not like I can hide the current camera and I've wanted a powershot for a while:) Thanks for sharing these deals and I've unlurked myself just to leave you a comment today:)

So glad that someone else is having a hard time getting their groove going again.....

i am frugal but quite more generous to others than I am to myself. Case in point I got the man a plasma tv for Christmas but to spend that amount of money on myself for a gift I have a hard time justifying it.....

Missed you Mel!!

Frugal is the appropriate PR word for cheap - yea for sounding better!! So I'm "frugal" :)

I think frugal is being conservative with your money, you put thought into what you buy. Cheap means you won't spend money no matter what.

I suppose at times I can be a little bit of both. :)

Hopefully your grove is back in full swing again. Oh, and I'd say I'm very cheap.

I would have to say I am frugal. I put a lot of thought into what I buy. I shop around to find the best price before buying. My husband gets annoyed with it because sometimes it means I buy something, then take it back to buy it somewhere else cheaper. I guess it is a little crazy but hey, every penny counts, right?

I'm frugal, and not cheap. I can't remembere who, but someone had an awesome post on the difference between the two. I remember one was you're cheap if you buy your child's car seat at a garage sale. You're frugal if you shop for a bargain on a safe but inexpensive carseat.

I am so glad you are back! I am frugal not cheap. Cheasp implies that you count every penny and split checks in that selfish "I didn't have a drink" way. Which is good blogging material..lol
