Slow Cooking Thursday - Oct. 9th & Cash Back

I'm on a little adventure right now. I'll tell you more about it on Monday. Posting from my phone...technology can be a COOL thing, well, sometimes. Sometimes it's a pain in the butt. Like when you don't want to be contacted and there are 23,871 ways to be located or when your cell auto corrects your texts and uses the wrong words. Makes you look like you totally cannot spell nor speak correctly.

So, I'm on this adventure and won't be able to visit all my bloggy friends for a short while. Please, don't be a stranger though. I've been enjoying all the comments. Also, if you are not a blogger and would like to leave a comment you may do so. Just click on the 'comments' link at the bottom of the post and either pick anonymous or you can put your name in (you don't have to have a url.) I've gotten tons of emails from non-bloggers saying they couldn't leave a comment. Comments are so fun, aren't they?

Oh and the hubby is doing the garage sale all by himself this weekend. What a trooper, huh? I'm sure I'll have plenty to report about that. He's such a sweetheart. I told him to just get rid of everything. I don't even care how much stuff sells for.



French Dip

INGREDIENTS
4 pounds rump roast
1 (10.5 ounce) can beef broth
1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed French onion soup
1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle beer
6 French rolls
2 tablespoons butter

DIRECTIONS
Trim excess fat from the rump roast, and place in a slow cooker. Add the beef broth, onion soup and beer. Cook on Low setting for 7 hours.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Split French rolls, and spread with butter. Bake 10 minutes, or until heated through.
Slice the meat on the diagonal, and place on the rolls. Serve the sauce for dipping.
