Miss Bossy loves her Slow Cooking Thursday....

Last night we had the hubby's parents over for dinner. It was fab and the in-laws loved it.

My husband just brought it to my attention (OK, it wasn't like I didn't already know it) that when I cook for people I get rather bossy with him right before the guests show up. I start barking orders like, "set the table....please," (I do say please at least) "put ice in the glasses," "I need you to put your keys and wallet away before they get here," yada yada yada. I basically get in this frenzy right before anyone shows up for dinner. I get anxious and bossy and I don't know why. I don't get like this when people are coming over to watch a movie or just hang out...it's only when people come to dinner.

After apologizing profusely to my dear husband, I have been sitting here thinking about why I act this way and how to change it. I wonder if I can find the answer on Google.

Southwestern Pot Roast

I found this so-easy-you-won't-believe-it recipe from Blessed Chaos' blog...I love anything that takes less than 15 minutes to prepare!! Woooohoooo! This will be my first time fixing this recipe.

INGREDIENTS
2-3 lb roast
8 small or 4 med-lrg potatoes, cut into large chunks
1/2 pound baby carrots
1 large onion, cut into large slices
1 jar (16-20oz) of medium salsa
1/4 cup of flour

DIRECTIONS
*Place potatoes and carrots on bottom of crockpot.
*Coat roast (trim fat) with 1/4 cup of flour and place floured roast on top of potatoes and carrots. Place the onions in any spaces or on top of roast.
*Pour salsa on top of the ingredients.
*Cook on low for 6-7 hours in crockpot.
